- Objective Case -- refers when a noun or pronoun is used as an object. It is also called Accusative case.

- Direct object

- Indirect Object

- Object of preposition 

DIRECT OBJECT-- Answers 'who' or 'what

                                 Receiver of the action 


Example- Gyan wrote a book 

                     S.        V.          Direct object 

Word 'letter' answers the question 'what'. 

INDIRECT OBJECT-- Answers to whom or for whom the action is done. 

Example--Heena gave her friend a pair of shoes

        Heena - subject 

         Gave- verb 

         Friend- indirect object

         a pair of shoes- direct object 

Word friend answer the question to whom 


OBJECT OF PREPOSITION-- noun in prepositional phrase.

Preposition- word that is placed before a noun or pronoun to indicate direction, method, place, source etc. 

Example- He is standing beside her Mother.

Beside - preposition

Mother- object of preposition
