Modals-- verb used to express mood, attitude
2 classes of verbs--1.Regular verbs 2. Auxiliary verbs.
Auxiliary means providing help or giving help therefore auxiliary verbs are helping verb. These verbs are of two kinds--
1.Primary Auxiliary-- be,have,has
2.Modal Auxiliary-- may, could, would, should etc.
Uses of Modals--
1. May & Might
Used to express possibility--
- It might rain today.
-She may go to Canada tomorrow.
2. Permission-- May I take your pencil?
3. Wish/Prayer-- May all your wishes come true.
4.Purpose-- He works hard so that he may pass the exam with good marks.
